Contemporary Technique JNR.
Age 8-11

In this class, you will begin to explore contemporary techniques in more depth. Children will have the opportunity to refine their movements in the form of stretching, body conditioning, improvisation, and choreography.

St Laurence Dance Studio, Monday 4:30-5:30pm

Ballet.
Ages 9-16

Learn the skills of ballet in a non-exam class.
Students will learn barre and center work.
No experience in ballet is required.

St Laurence Dance Studio, Thursday 4:30pm-5:30pm

Contemporary Higher.

Year 11, Post 16 and Adult

Students work at faster pace to really refine their technical skills. Classes consist of floor work, centre work and is ideal for those student studying dance at further education or for those more experienced dancers wanting to take dance class

Contemporary Technique.
Ages 11-16

The students will really refine their movements and technical ability in this class to help them to move onto the next level as a dancer. The class consists of floor work and center work. Contemporary dance styles include Graham, Cunningham, Limon, and release techniques. This class will help if you are taking GCSE dance and in other classes where you learn choreography.

New Jazz Class

Learn jazz technique including isolation work, floor combinations, turning, leaping, kicking all in a fun, technical Jazz class

Tuesday 7:30-8:30pm St Laurence School Dance Studio

GM Experience

Fun class for over 55. Learn different styles of Dance in a creative and social environment. Then enjoy a coffee and gossip after class if you wish.

Bradford on Avon Youth centre. Thursdays 1pm-2pm

Pre-school classes (Ages 2-4)

In this class, the children will explore different styles of dance in a fun nurturing environment. Perfect for those children who just want to boogie. Boys and girls welcome.

Foundation-year 1 (Ages 4-6)

In this class, students will begin to learn dances from different dances and songs. The emphasis is on having FUN! They will start to learn the basic techniques at the same time as having fun! The students will have the opportunity to make their own dances up.

Year 2-3 (Ages 6-8)

The children will learn slightly more complex dances of different styles and begin to work more on the technical aspects of dance. The students will develop their choreographic skills. The emphasis is still on having FUN!

Years 4-5 (Ages 8-10)

The students will continue to learn more complex dances and techniques. They will develop their performance skills. The emphasis is still on having fun!

11:15-12:15pm

Years 7,8,9 (Ages 11-14)


The student will learn complex dances to modern music. They will begin to learn more technical elements including pirouettes etc. Students will have the opportunity to some partner work.

12:20-1:20pm

Years 9+

This is a more technical class, however, if you have no experience in dance you are still welcome. This class has a focus on the end dance. Students will have the chance to begin to explore lifting and partner work. The students will learn complex choreography.

All classes will work toward an end dance.
The students will perform them twice yearly at the GM Dance Showcase.

* GM Dance also offers an advanced class. This is a highly technical dance class where dancers are pushed to learn highly complex choreography. This is invitation only. (These are held on Saturdays 2:30-3:30pm)
